When we first walked into Johnny Rockets, we were warmly greeted by Eric and seated right away. Lisa, or server was wonderful! We both ordered burgers and I got mine with tater tots smothered in cheese. The food came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. With a fun 50's theme, we'll definitely be back.
We are there now. We have been waiting over an hour And haven't eaten. When we walked up there were open tables and the counter was empty but we were told by the hostess (at the back entrance; we were entering from the Great Escape Lodge entrance where this is located- the was no host/hostess at our entrance) that she would need to wait to seat us because she was out of menus. When we were finally seated 15 minutes later, we waited 15 more minutes until we were acknowledged by a server, who took our order. 40 more minutes have gone by for our order of three burgers and we are still waiting. There are still at least half a dozen empty tables and the counter is empty and it is prime dinner time. (We arrived at 6:00 PM.) To say the service is poor is a gross understatement.
We loved this place! We have been twice and loved both times. Friendly staff, family oriented, low prices, good food.. kids loved it. Milkshakes are frickin awesome. We now look forward to going here on our trips!!
Wish service had been better.
The food was good, but the service was subpar. Tried to call ahead to tell them we were a family of 13...couldnt get through to anyone, because the number is for the six flags resort. Then instead of moving one table to allow our group to sit together (which was possible because they weren't busy, and there was room) we were placed next to each other. Okay, fine. Then we waited almost 10 min for milkshakes, which arrived before regular teas, sodas and water. The food was good, but between a 10 min wait to get seated, in an empty dining room not together, then another 10 min wait for drinks, we waited a total of 45 min for food from start to finish.
We went here for dinner. The server was attentive. The fries were cold. The chicken wings were delicious but the philly cheese steak lacked peppers and onions. It was a let down. Kind of pricey as well. For the money try another place for dinner. For breakfast though definitely go to johnny rockets. You will be happy you did. Was very happy with breakfast. There was dancing good music and everything was hot. Don't know why such a difference in service.
